Two field projects investigating ecological interactions of shellfish-aquaculture practices are being conducted by the NOAA, NMFS, Milford, CT Laboratory. The Milford laboratory has a requirement for personnel to provide assistance to a Research Chemist and other lab staff for collection, processing, chemical analysis, and data handling of a large number of environmental samples, including water, sediment, and biological materials. The National Marine Fisheries Service Northeast Fisheries Science Center (NEFSC), Milford Laboratory has a requirement for support services in the collection, processing, and quantitative chemical analysis of benthic, water, and planktonic ecological samples as part of an ongoing research investigation. Candidate must possess a bachelor’s level degree in physical, chemical, environmental or life sciences. Application deadline is not specified.
