The Johnson Creek Watershed Council is seeking a dynamic Volunteer Coordinator to coordinate its volunteer program. The Johnson Creek Watershed Council is one of the strongest watershed councils in the state, consistently receiving an “excellent” rating from the Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board. The Volunteer Coordinator will have the opportunity to work in a team environment with a talented staff, an active board, and a diverse group of volunteers to protect and restore one of the most densely populated watersheds in the state of Oregon. The Volunteer Coordinator’s primary goals will be 1) To strengthen JCWC’s capacity to utilize volunteers effectively by developing formal volunteer program processes, and 2) To develop and facilitate varied year-round volunteer opportunities to enable more people to become involved in the Johnson Creek Watershed and the Johnson Creek Watershed Council. The Coordinator will work to develop and support meaningful volunteer opportunities at all levels of the organization with strategic focus on turning casual participants into committed long-term volunteers. His / her work will be both proactive and responsive. Position is open until filled.
