Call for Papers - Aquaculture 2010 Triennial Meeting
American Fisheries Society/U.S. Aquaculture Society
San Diego/CAUSA

The Fish Culture Section of the American Fisheries Society and U.S. Aquaculture Society are soliciting presentations for a joint symposium entitled “Lipids in Aquaculture Nutrition and Physiology” to be held at the AQUACULTURE 2010 (Triennial Meeting), March 1-5, 2010 in San Diego, California. Nutritionists recognize the need to identify suitable alternative lipids, but what makes a fat or oil “suitable” for use in aquafeeds? The purpose of this symposium is to highlight recent advances in our understanding of lipid function and metabolism in cultured finfishes and crustaceans, and to present new nutritional strategies to optimize production performance in aquaculture. Please see the attached call for papers for details about how you can participate. The Triennial meeting is the largest aquaculture conference held worldwide—if you attend one meeting in 2010, the Triennial should be it! Please consider coming to San Diego and participating in this important session! For more information please visit https://www.was.org/WasMeetings/meetings/Default.aspx?code=AQ2010.
